Each Future Foundation newsletter profiles one of the volunteers who make our work possible.
Where do you live?
Atlanta.
What is your current position?
I’m a student at Clayton State University and I work for the Fulton County Cooperative Extension as a 4-H Fulton County Program assistant.
Why do you do volunteer work?
I volunteer because I believe today’s youth need mentors. As a young man, I understand the importance of having a positive role model in your life who can help you make decisions and the right choices.
How did you find out about Future Foundation?
I learned about Future Foundation in my job as a 4-H instructor.
Describe your Future Foundation volunteer activities.
I typically volunteer on Mondays and Wednesdays, tutoring the students in different subjects, such as math and English.
What would you like to gain from volunteering?
I hope to impact the lives of the Future Foundation kids in the hope that this will better prepare them for any future obstacles they may face.
What are your plans for the future?
After graduating from Clayton State with a major in Computer Science, I plan to pursue a master’s degree in Project Management or enroll as an officer in the U.S. Air Force.
