This summer, our older students participated in an innovative eight-week “Maker Model” program at the Opportunity Hub (OHUB). The program emphasizes the importance of allowing students to create products that solve real-world problems. The new [email protected] Innovation Campus is a joint venture with Herman J. Russell that offers over 4,300 square feet of communal and collaborative co-working. A Banneker High School College and Career Readiness Assembly Series Future Foundation’s College 4 Careers program will be hosting college & career readiness assemblies for all Banneker High School junior and senior students. The assemblies will be held in the school’s auditorium on March 27, 2014 and April 16, 2014 from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. and from 12:55 to 2:15 p.m. The morning assembly will be for juniors and will be geared toward the importance of starting the college preparation process early and educating students on the requirements.
