We had the opportunity to work with J Young Media, an award winning full service video production company. They utilize skilled videographers, producers, production assistants, editors, motion graphic artists, and other contractors. They use their abilities to collaborate with and promote local nonprofits using video (documentaries, PSA’s, video series, etc.) to create awareness and initiate change from the populations these nonprofits serve. J Young Media is currently in pre-production on a youth based series based in Atlanta, GA. Summer Brown and Chris Patterson, seventh graders at Woodland Middle School and active participants in our Reef House Learning Center, were selected to take a test for the Duke University Talent Identification Program (DukeTIP). Summer was the only seventh grader in the South Fulton Learning Community who was accepted into the Summer Program. United Way announces FUTURE FOUNDATION as winner of their $300,000 Dare to Forget the Box Prize – to implement the innovative works of the College Park Enrichment Collaboration (CPEC)!
Today, United Way of Greater Atlanta announced the winners of its DARE to Forget the Box! prizes. Out of the 80 agencies that applied and 25 finalists, we were one of four collaborative teams addressing critical systemic issues to be selected to receive prizes. We are proud to say that we are a recipient of a $300,000 grant annually, totaling $900,000 over the next three years that will greatly impact the lives of over a hundred youth and families in South Fulton!
